2027: Support Candidate with Track Record, Traceable Credentials – Prof. Wale Sulaiman Tells Kwarans

A renowned neurosurgeon and governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Wale Sulaiman, has urged Kwarans to prioritise competence, credible credentials, and verifiable achievements when choosing the state’s next governor in the 2027 general elections.

Sulaiman made the call during a media parley with members of the Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) and other journalists at his residence in Tanke, Ilorin. The interaction provided a platform for the APC chieftain to share his vision for the state and engage stakeholders on the political future of Kwara.

According to him, the choice of leadership should be guided by the ability of a candidate to deliver purposeful governance capable of unlocking the state’s vast human and natural resources for sustainable development.

During the engagement, the Ajase-Ipo-born politician unveiled his development blueprint tagged “Kwara Prosperity Agenda,” which he described as a people-centred framework aimed at promoting inclusive growth, economic expansion, and equitable development across the 16 local government areas of the state.

He identified education, healthcare, security, infrastructure development, and poverty alleviation as priority sectors that would receive strategic attention under his administration.

Sulaiman also stressed the need to create employment opportunities for young people through investments in agriculture, mineral resources, tourism, and partnerships with private and international development institutions.

The governorship aspirant further pledged to mobilise public, private, and global funding for key development projects, noting that improving the state’s creditworthiness would help attract investors and development partners.

He assured that transparency, credibility, and accountability would guide the execution of government projects in order to deliver measurable impact for citizens

Sulaiman also promised equitable development across communities, explaining that governance must address the specific needs of different localities to ensure balanced growth throughout the state.

The APC stalwart commended the development strides of Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, describing his agenda as a continuation and expansion of the administration’s achievements.

He equally expressed support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that initiatives such as the student loan programme are opening new opportunities for young Nigerians.

The media parley formed part of Sulaiman’s ongoing consultations with stakeholders as political conversations ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State continue to gather momentum.
