Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq sends his hearty congratulations to Associate Prof Sunday Popo-Ola of the Imperial College London on his 60th birth anniversary today, May 2, 2025.
A native of Esiè Kingdom in Irepodun LGA, where he bagged the title of Aare Akeweje for his contributions to youth empowerment, Prof. Popo-Ola is a renowned engineer and academic who teaches at the second best university in the world after MIT, Imperial College London, United Kingdom. He is also the chairman of the Creative Futures Foundation, Nigeria.
Governor AbdulRazaq thanks Prof. Popo-Ola for leading many efforts to upskill young people in his community, especially in STEM education, and his role in many Kwara-focused initiatives in the Diaspora.
“Prof. Popo-Ola has shown that you can be anywhere in the world and still be a critical part of your community. Distance has never been a barrier for him to give back to the state and especially to his people in Esiè,” the Governor says.
Governor AbdulRazaq asks God to give him many more years of good health and greater heights to continue to serve God and humanity.
