DWAC Foundation Rolls Out Food for Hope Outreach 2025: Over 130 Families Empowered Amid Inspirational Messages
ILORIN, Kwara State – The DWAC Foundation’s flagship Food for Hope Outreach returned triumphantly in 2025, living up to its motto “Touching Lives, Restoring Hope.”
This well-established annual initiative—running successfully since a few years back—kicked off its 2025 edition with over 130 beneficiaries receiving vital support in a single, impactful day.
The outreach venue buzzed with purpose as the DWAC team arrived fully prepared: palliative packs meticulously arranged, volunteers strategically positioned, and an atmosphere electric with gratitude and anticipation.
Families from far and near communities arrived clutching their National Identification Numbers (NIN), the key to accessing aid. Upholding its commitment to decency, transparency, and accuracy, DWAC required all beneficiaries to appear in person—no proxies permitted.
Verified through NIN, recipients went home with generous foodstuff packs containing rice, garri, salt, cooking oil, and cash support, providing immediate relief amid rising living costs.
Welcoming the beneficiaries, Mrs. Damilola Wale Aremu, the foundation’s initiator, shared a heartfelt vision: “The idea to give is to recreate memories of allowing little children to be happy, no matter how small.
“She prayed for all present, encouraging them to “believe in God—He will make you great to become givers to the needy too.”
Other volunteers took turns praising the foundation’s legacy while urging beneficiaries to keep faith in God and pray for Mrs. Aremu.
Elder Wale Aremu, jokingly rallying the crowd, declared, “Whatever any man gets is from God,” before revealing he’s the Wale Aremu—a name God is using through the foundation’s initiator to transform lives behind DWAC. He couldn’t hide his happiness seeing his children, most especially Damilola, making him proud.
He thanked all volunteers, encouraged recipients to “go home with the little in happiness,” and noted the foundation’s broader works—but this merry season called for putting smiles on faces. He closed with prayers for all.
Mothers smiled for their children, elders offered heartfelt prayers, and volunteers radiated fulfillment.
