Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Leads Strategic Security Coordination Meeting in Kwara South

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq recently convened a high-level strategic security meeting with representatives from the Nigerian Army, Police, and other key security agencies to address ongoing security challenges in Kwara South

This meeting was prompted by comprehensive reports submitted by various stakeholders, including findings from a routine forum of Kwara South leaders chaired by Engr. Dr. Johnson Adewumi.

Attendees included the Irepodun Local Government Chairman, Hon. Abdulazeez Yakub; Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju; Prince Olanrewaju Shuaib (SOFAB); as well as senior officers from the state police command, army, and other security entities.

During the session, Governor AbdulRazaaq commended the collaborative efforts between the Nigerian Army, police personnel, local vigilante groups, and community leaders, noting their critical role in maintaining peace and stability across Kwara State.

Concluding on a positive note, the meeting underscored the ongoing commitment of the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration to enhance the state’s security framework and render Kwara a hostile environment for criminal activities and non-state actors.

The Governor has maintained close engagement with security commanders and local vigilantes, directing intensified security presence and lockdowns in areas identified as potential threat zones to safeguard the public.

He also assured the citizenry of coordinated efforts, in partnership with the Office of the National Security Adviser, to uphold continuous safety across the state. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq appealed for public support and urged calm as security operations proceed.
