Kwara Takes Bold Step: Statewide SSID Registration Now Required for KWASSIP Support

In a move to ensure every citizen and resident receives fair and efficient access to social investment opportunities, the Kwara State Government has announced an immediate mandate: all beneficiaries of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) must now register with the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA).

Dr. Abdulwasiu Olayinka Tejidini, General Manager of KWASSIP, emphasized the importance of this initiative in a statement issued today. “Registration is essential for building a credible, reliable database that supports planning and social inclusion,” he explained. “Every registrant will receive a unique State Security Identification (SSID) number and card, streamlining identification and documentation throughout the social investment process, including fund disbursement.”

The statement, signed by the Agency’s Press Secretary, Bukola Abdulganiyu, clarified that from now on, only those with valid SSID numbers will be eligible to receive government financial incentives or benefits. The registration drive is open to all citizens and residents, ensuring no one is left out.

Abdulganiyu also underscored the broader significance of the scheme. “This mandatory registration is a critical tool for security and economic planning,” she said. “We urge every resident to participate, supporting both individual wellbeing and data-driven governance for all.”

With this new policy, Kwara State is setting a standard for transparent, inclusive, and secure social investment—putting citizens at the heart of its development agenda.
