APC Chairman Prince Fagbemi Commends Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun for Securing N2 Billion TETFund Allocation for College of Education Oro

Prince Fagbemi, Chairman of the APC in Kwara State, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun for his support in securing the inclusion of the College of Education, Oro (COED Oro) among the government-owned beneficiaries of the Special High Impact Projects (SHIP) in the state. This initiative, aligned with TETFund’s national strategy, aims to transform teacher education and enhance academic infrastructure across tertiary institutions.

The College of Education Oro is set to receive a N2 billion TETFund allocation, which will be dedicated to developing modern infrastructure, upgrading teaching facilities, and strengthening the institution’s capacity to meet contemporary educational standards. Fagbemi urged the college’s management to utilize the funds prudently to fulfill the project’s objectives and attract further opportunities.

He congratulated the college and its leadership, attributing this achievement to the visionary and effective leadership of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. This gesture, he noted, is a testament to the commitment of the state government to advancing education and fostering development in Kwara State.

This funding aligns with the 2025 TETFund disbursement plan, in which colleges of education nationwide are allocated approximately N2.17 billion each to upgrade and rehabilitate infrastructure, reflecting the federal government’s focus on enhancing the quality of tertiary education under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
